The MAO announced the seven judges who have the hard task of choosing the new Miss America.
The national judging panel includes Donald Driver, former Green Bay Packers player; Marc Cherry, creator of “Desperate Housewives”; supermodel Kathy Ireland; Olympic gold medal gymnast, Shawn Johnson; Lee Meriwether, Miss America 1955 and “Barnaby Jones” actress; entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk; and Brigadier Gen. Anne Macdonald.
The judges will score the contestants in swimsuit, evening gown, interview and talent. The pageant will air at 8 p.m. on Sunday, September 14 on ABC, and will be hosted by Chris Harrison and Lara Spencer.
The winner will be crowned by the current Miss America, Nina Davuluri, who represented the state of New York last year.
