Jacky Arness is 21 years old and grew up watching the Miss America Pageant. As a lifelong North Dakota resident, she’s excited to get an opportunity to represent her state at the national level.
Jacky is a student at Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota, double majoring in political science and biblical & theological studies.
Though she comes from a family of medical professionals, her plan is to continue her education and earn a law degree, and possibly a doctorate degree as well, and specialize in social justice issues combating everything from systemic oppression to poverty.
Winning Miss North Dakota is also an opportunity to promote her platform Empowerment via Ownership: Values, Image, and Action. The goal is to give young women the skills and tools they need as they step into the professional world to meet their full potential.
